Technical training in river monitoring to Amazonian Universities

Large-Scale Particle Image Velocimetry (LSPIV) is a technique for measuring water levels and surface velocities in mountain rivers. This technique has been developed and adapted by CITA-UTEC in collaboration with the Center for Water Studies and Technologies (CETA) at the National University of Cordoba.
On November 24 and 26, 2018, the CITA team carried out 2 workshops in which the students of the UNAS (Universidad Nacional Agraria de La Selva) in TingoMaría and professionals of the Colegio de Ingenieros del Perú – Pasco, in Cerro de Pasco, learned how to use and apply this technique.
